Riding four wheelers in the rain! BL is riding her Kawasaki 650 Brute Force. BG is riding his Kawasaki KFX 700 V Force. They just got them and want to go mudding. With the rain, they should have lots of fun.
BG went to the doctor for a checkup on his knees. We were concerned that the left one wasn't healing as well as the right, but the doctor assured us that everything is fine. It will probably be a month or two before he will be 100%. While we were there, Husband convinced me to get an X-ray of my foot that I injured three weeks ago. All is well, just a badly broken toe. It will be fine and hopefully I will be able to were shoes again some day. Until then, I love my new Cowgirl Jewels flip flops!

Husband came home last night for a visit. I had him take a day off to go to the dentist tomorrow. He is going to have two teeth pulled. He wanted to pull them himself, but we hid the pliers. I'll let you know how the dental visit goes. Odds are that there will be humor.

German Pancakes

Well, I know that this looks like the weirdest pancake you have ever seen, but trust me it is delicious. I heard someone mention German Pancakes at a meeting last week and I became curious about how the Germans made pancakes. I found a recipe on Recipe Zhar. So easy: six eggs, one cup flour, one cup milk, some butter and I added a little sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon. In the oven for 20 minutes. Quick, easy and delicious. If you can get over how weird it looks, you won't be disappointed. It is a cross between a pancake and french toast. If you want a detailed recipe, send me a comment.

Here is BL after church today. She is busy making 100 cookies for me for our Seminary meeting tonight. She is so sweet.

Here is BG. He has grown so much. He is now 6'2" and works out daily. If you can believe it, he will be sixteen this December. He takes such good care of us when Husband is at work.

Pranks gone wrong

Most of our loved ones have fallen victim to our practical jokes. We are known for pulling off some good ones and some that boarder on outrageous. Well, tonight BC made a grave error. She went out shopping with a friend and did not invite BG. She should have known. So we have BG at home, he has already seen Phelps win his 8th gold medal, so what more is there to do...get revenge of course. BG foiled BC's room, seriously. He wrapped everything except her bed in foil. He would have done that but he ran out of time. Her desk was completely wrapped along with everything on it...computer, pencils, water bottle, lamp. He wrapped her night stand and everything on it. He wrapped her trash can. He wrapped her exercise machine. He wrapped the door knobs too. He even wrapped a pile of dirty clothes that she had on the floor. The moral of this story, everyone should beware. Or another moral could be, always take BG with you so you can keep an eye on him.

Poor BC she was shocked' as you can see by the pictures. BL was excited because once it was cleaned up, she had quite a large ball of foil to put in her recycle pile.

For those of you who have been on the receiving end of one of our family pranks, I am sure that you can sympathize with BC. She never thought she would find herself on the business end of one of her brother's jokes.

Rainy Days

Some days there is nothing to do but lay on the couch and watch television. Today was one of those days. It was raining all day thanks to the tropical storm. The kids just watched tv and played on the computer. They finally got bored with that went to read books and work out. I was fortunate enough to get to drive around in the yucky weather to go to the doctor.

We all had a great weekend. BL went to her favorite place in the world, the country. She helped her PawPaw with the cows and had a good time. BG had a campout and went fishing. BC went to a book reading sleepover. Husband was at work. We had a wonderful time with our house guests, the Lamoreauxs. They were a joy to be around and we look forward to visiting with their entire family in Utah this winter. If the Lamoreauxs are reading this, we just want to say that we love yall and thank you for coming to see us, we will treasure your company and wonderful conversations.
